Silver Temple is a 2nd-century BCE Buddhist temple in the village of Ridigama. The temple is considered as the place where the silver ore, which provided silver to complete Ruwanwelisaya; one of the largest stupa in Sri Lanka. There are approximately twenty-five caves around the temple, which are considered to be inhabited by Arhat monks. The main Associated buildings and structures of the Silver Temple are, “Serasum Gala” which is a rock to the right of the entrance, believed to be the place where the initial temple was built and You will see “Waraka Welandu Viharaya” which is built in stone and contains a number of Kandyan era paintings. Its stone roof rests on eight stone pillars, which are decorated on all four sides and also the “Main temple” which is located inside the silver cave; a massive rock which takes the shape of a cobra head. The archaeological site of Yapahuwa takes a prominent place in history and served as the capital of Sri Lanka in the latter part of the 13th century (1273–1284). Yapahuwa was built around a huge granite rock rising abruptly almost a hundred meters above the surrounding lowlands. Yapahuwa was a palace and military stronghold against foreign invaders. Many traces of ancient battle defences can still be seen, while an ornamental stairway, is its biggest showpiece. On top of the rock are the remains of a stupa, a Bodhi tree enclosure, and a rock shelter/cave used by Buddhist monks, indicating that earlier this site was used as a Buddhist monastery, like many boulders and hills in the area. There are several caves at the base of the rock. In one of them there is a shrine with Buddha images. One cave has a Brahmi script inscription. At the southern base of the rock, you will see there is a fortification with two moats and ramparts.
If you are to hike the Yapahuwa Rock upto the top plateau of the rock, You will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the beautiful landscape with ancient ruins as well as a pond and the ruins of an ancient pagoda and also you will find unidentified sign carved in a granite plate. It will take at least 3 hours to hike way up and back down and It is mindful to take extra cautious, because You will have to prepare for a somewhat rough hike through roads lies through Jungles and Granit stones. Mihinthale Buddhist temple, is a mountain peak believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It is now a pilgrimage site, and the site of several religious monuments and abandoned structures. At the foot of the mountain are the ruins of a hospital, medical bath (or stone canoe in which patients were immersed in medicinal oil) belonging to the ancient period. Between the hospital and the steps leading to the rock are the ruins of a large monastery. On the floors of the square building which is 125 feet (38 m) on one side, are beautiful carvings and also are stone balustrades and guard stones. The stairway has 1840 steps made of granite, leading to the summit. At the end of the first set of steps on the right side of the plain, is a small mountain peak. On this is situated the most famous Kantaka Cetiya (Pagoda). Kantaka Cetiya is a circular stupa having a base circumference of about 425 feet. Then you will find another Buddhist pagoda called Ambasthala situated on the plain close to the peak of the mountain and proceeding from Ambastala dagaba along the narrow road, on the slope is the cave known as Mihindu Guhawa or the cave of Arahant Mahinda, where he resided. Next you will find the Aradhana Gala to where Mahinda thero came by travelling through the air and landed on the top of the Aradhana Gala where he met King Devanampiyatissa for the first time.
Kaludiya pokuna (Pond),is a historical pond which is a natural black water pond and also is one of the famous three ponds at Mihintale. The name is derived from the fact that the water in the pond appears to be black in colour. It is believed that on new moon day Kalu Buddha Rakkhita Thera sat under the Thimbiriya tree, close to the Kaludiya Pond, preached on sermon based on Kalakarama Sutta. The word “Kalu” means black. The word “diya” means water, and the word “pokuna” means pond

Sri Lankan sambar deer, Sri Lankan axis deer, Indian muntjac, Sri Lankan spotted chevrotain, wild boar and water buffalo are among other mammal species. Udawalawe is also a good birdwatching site. Endemics such as Sri Lanka spurfowl, red-faced malkoha, Sri Lanka grey hornbill, brown-capped babbler, and Sri Lanka junglefowl are among of the breeding resident birds. Elephant Transit Place, rehabilitates orphaned elephant calves for ultimate release them back into their natural habitat. The elephants are kept at part of the Udawalawe National Park to maintain familiarity with their habitat, but have access to both food and medical care.
Buduruwagala, is an ancient buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. The complex consists of seven statues and belongs to the Mahayana school of thought. The statues date back to the 10th century. Turtle Farm at Kosgoda, Conversation is implemented through finding eggs by their own effort and through local fishermen. after then they are placed in a speciel sandy nursary and after getting baby turtles they moved into their own tanks. After being fed, baby turtles are released to sea. Boat Riding in Madu River ,The Madu Ganga is a shallow water body in southwest Sri Lanka, which enters the sea at Balapitiya. Madu lagoon is a very wide and a beautiful lagoon in the wet zone of sri lanka. Madu River also has been listed as a Ramsa wetland in the world in 2004. Its estuary and the many mangrove islets on it constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem.
