Negombo is a major tourist destination in Sri Lanka. You will find a Star Gate at Ranmasu Uyana which is a strange map like chart, Carved on a stone known to many as the ‘stargate’. This chart is believed to be the secret code to accessing the stargate. Ranmasu Uyana is also mainly known for its rock sculpted bathing ponds with a sophisticated hydraulics mechanism. Jaffna City Tour, North of Sri Lanka is a world apart from the rest of country and has retained a unique character and a culture with the mixture of colonial charm and vibrant Tamil culture. Jaffna City is dotted with many notable landmarks and you will visit Jaffna Public Library which was built in 1933 and burnt in 1981. During the early 1980s, it was one of the biggest libraries in Asia, containing over 97,000 books and manuscripts. In 2001, rehabilitation of the library was completed, with new structure and you will visit Jaffna Archaeological Museum which was a hidden gem if you are interested in history and archaeology.The museum houses a rare collection of antiquities. Buddhist and Hindu religious collection are in big collection, which are in various forms of metal, wood and stone. Dutch Fort is Constructed in 1618 by the Portuguese and later taken over by the Dutch and the British the Jaffna fort continued to be a British garrison until 1948.Buildings inside the fort include the Governor’s residence, Queen’s House, Jaffna, the Garrison Parade Ground, Police quarters and several buildings from the Portuguese era.  
 
Nallur  kandaswamy Hindu Temple is one of the most impressive religious building in Jaffna and one of the most significant Hindu temple complexes in the country dedicated to God Murugan. The kovil’s 15th-century structure was vandalized by Portuguese in the 17th century and the current structure was rebuilt in 1734. 

 

You will see the sights and landmark monuments of Trincomalee, famous for its scenic beauty and you will visit a hindu temple located on a rocky cliff (on the top hill) surrendered by the beautiful blue ocean.

Pigeon Island National Park is a beautiful island situated 1 km off the coast of Nilaveli with clean water and stunning white sand and is a perfect place for snorkel, Swimming & Diving. It will have to take a Boat to reach the Park. If you are to take a snorkel at the Pigeon Island, You will be a lucky person to get an amazing snorkeling experience with reef sharks and huge sea turtles. Pigeon Island is one of the two marine national parks of Sri Lanka. The island’s name derives from the rock pigeon which has colonized it. The national park contains some of the best remaining coral reefs of Sri Lanka.Pigeon Island was designated as a sanctuary in 1963. Pigeon Island consists of two islands; large pigeon island and small pigeon island. The large pigeon island is fringed by a coral reef, and is about 200 m long and 100 m wide. Many of the 100 species of corals and 300 coral reef fishes recorded around the Trincomalee area are found in the national park.

Sigiriya has become one of the main tourist destination in Sri Lanka and has listed as World Heritage Site. Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress with historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. Sigiriya is the Alakamandava (the City of the Gods) that was built up before 50 centuries ago by King Kuwera who was the father of Ravana. Sigiriya is world famous for its frescoes. The whole face of the hill appears to have been a gigantic picture gallery; an area of 140 metres long and 40 metres high, perhaps the largest picture in the world. There are references in the graffiti to 500 ladies in these paintings. Most of the elaborate constructions on the rock summit and around it, including defensive structures, palaces, and gardens, date from this period.( Frescoes, Mirror Wall, Water gardens, Boulder gardens, Terraced gardens) You can experience Bullock cart ride through schenic rural setting(1.5km) and meantime you will experience green paddy fields in Sigiriya Area. Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains.There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues. 

Ibbankatuwa is a burial site with human skeletons about 2700 years old in this area. The site is believed to be belongs to the megalithic prehistoric and protohistoric periods of Sri Lanka. 

Arankele Forest Monastery is a haven of peace and quietude. Today it is a celebrated archaeological site containing the ruins of the ancient forest monastery. This Bhikkhu monastery which is in a natural habitat has mountain slopes and plataues dotted with hundreds of buildings such as padhanagharas, Jantagharas (hot water bathing houses), Bodhigharas (parapet encrcling Bo trees), ponds, promenades, caves etc. 

You will reach the Negombo Airport to catch the flight back to your home.
